General Questions

A. We have all you need from cold drinks, snacks and hotdogs, to rental rods, reels and extra hooks & sinkers.
Coolers are welcome if you want to bring your own food and beverages. You might also consider a light jacket even on warm days, as oceans breezes can sometimes be chilly. Warmer clothing is a must early in the season or in the fall. You might also consider bringing a bucket or cooler for the fish you catch (we have ice at the dock but not on board)

A. Yes. We provide a fishing cleaning/filleting service on board and at the dock upon return for about $1.00 per fish.

A. Fishing spots are on a first come first serve basis. If you want to ensure keeping your fishing party together, try and arrive one hour to 45 minutes before departure.

A. Yes. And we have separate accommodations for the ladies. They are located toward the stern (rear) of the boat and they are accessible from the outside. Ladies room is on the starboard (right) side and the men’s room is on the port (left) side

A. There are a number of products available that help to prevent motion sickness such as Dramamine. Check with your local drug store. If you are prone to motion sickness or if you are not sure if you are, take them! Why risk getting sick when there are ways to help ensure a good time for all.

A. Of course that’s up to you, but experience shows that even if we do get that passing shower or t-storm they come and go quickly (so bring some light rain gear just in case).
Remember that in the summertime a chance of showers or t-storms would be a safe forecast every day! Don’t let that scare you away. The fish bite even if the sky is overcast or cloudy – many times even better than those sunny days.

A. Yes. The deckhands really depend on tips. Remember it is also customary to tip the deckhand from your winnings if you win the pool for the biggest fish!

A. This really depends on the conditions and type of fishing you are doing. Rental rods are equipped with the proper weights.
If you bring your own tackle put some heavier lead in the box just in case – if the wind whips up or the currents are strong you will be glad you brought those bigger sinkers! If you forgot you can purchase the weight you need onboard.

A. Absolutely. Call Capt. Joe at 732-618-1241 or 732-458-3188 for details. We will reserve a section of fishing spots to keep your group together. But please plan to arrive one hour ahead of departure to keep those spots.
